As Big Bears largest Snow Removal contractor and one of the largest contractors we pride ourselves with UN-surpassed quality, experience, and integrity. We are constantly looking for ways to better serve our customers while reducing costs. During winter months we primarily work as a snow removal contractor. With Big Bear's largest private fleet of snow removal equipment we are the trusted choice to get the job done. With our entire fleet being equipped with 4 wheel drive, chains, seasoned operators and radio dispatch you can rest assured we will get the job done. When one of our tractors has a problem we have 29+ more to take up the slack. When you have only 1 or 2 plowes and one has a problem you can't fulfill your obligations. This is why Municipalities, business owners and home owners all turn to us when they need reliable service. During the rest of the year we primarily work as a heavy equipment contractor. Specializing in excavating, grading, underground utilities, footings, lot stripping, and land scape services. Our fleet of equipment is un-paralleled in the valley, incorporating specialized equipment that can turn a big project into a small task. With the largest variety of equipment we are able to supply the best suited equipment for every job. Painters use different brushes to get different effects similar to how we utilize different tractors to get different results. You can rest assured when you contract us to provide a service we have the correct equipment to complete the project correctly.

Our drive has never been monetary based, it is always reputation and service based. We always strive to deliver a product that we can be proud of and not necessarily a product that gives us the largest monetary return. We are proud to employ 10 - 15 full time employees and 40 - 60 seasonal employees. We are also very involved in the community and regularly give to charitable operations such as Habitat For Humanity, Rotary Club, Lyons Club etc.... We are proud to serve and give back to the community we love and value so much!
In the 1940's the Theodore "Ted" Huether was the proprietor and developer of the Gray Squirrel Cabins with his wife, 2 sons and 1 daughter. It was during this time that he started to instill in his children the small town values that are so hard to find today. Honesty, Integrity, and a work ethic that is un-matched. Jump to the 1960's and Ted's Plumbing Is the largest plumbing company in Big Bear employing over 20 plumbers. One of these plumbers is David Huether Ted's son. After cutting his teeth as a laborer then a pipe fitter in his early teens David became a backhoe operator in his mid and late teens. Naturally when Ted was ready to retire David purchased his business and continued on the path his father set forth. Over the 40+ years since Mile High Equipment and the Huether family have been a staple of the Big Bear Valley Community. Enduring the bad times and enjoying the good. With the values instilled by his father David has built his company into the multi faceted business it is today. Currently Teds grand son Dillon has nearly 20 years with the company and continues the tradition with his father. Recently Teds his great grand son Randal Jr. Is starting to learn the ropes and learn the values and work ethic required to contribute to the company. Over the past 50+ years we have seen countless heavy equipment and snow removal companies popup when times are good and jump ship when times are bad. We are Big Bear Locals and are here for the long haul and hope to continue with the legacy passed down to us by Ted for the next 50+ years.
